anything terribly colored, like imagine sickly hospital colors.

I'll be dancing with myself.

The scenster look. How horrid, no one really looks good looking like a scenster.

oi vay... here we go.

+ kitten heels or flats
+ skinny jeans
+ high necked tops
+ any one of the bazillion smock dresses out there now. No shape whatsoever.
+ pale pink, as I have red undertones in my skin and pink just brings that out
+ ankle straps on shoes. I have such little legs, that I can't cut them off with a strap. Unfortunately, some of my favorite styles are the strapped ones :/
+ blonde hair. I've been told that I would just have to find the right shade, but I don't believe it.
+ tube tops
+ tops with spaghetti straps (I'm busty. I'm not fooling anyone with itsy bitsy straps. I need to look locked and loaded )
+ capris. Same idea as the ankle straps... I can't be bothered to cut my leg any shorter.

But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

skinny jeans & thight overlong shirts and such. I don't really have an androgynous built.

polo shirts

flare/bootcut/pleated pants

shorts (except for running, around the house and rare super-hot days)

more than one non-basic color at a time (If I'm wearing red or orange it'll only be with grey or black or blue or something else that's very plain)

layering (I get too hot. My only exceptions are with a vest + ONE sweater that needs a white shirt underneath)

accessories (I carry a bag and will wear gloves/scarf/hats if it's cold, but I hate watches, pins, jewelery and all of that sort of thing)

voluminous pants (Maybe I'd try something really unique, but for the most part I like my pants slim, but not necessarily skinny)

obvious kitsch/camp/irony

blazers with padded shoulders (unfortunately I have a few that my father 'helped' to pick before I knew enough to care, but I wear them as infrequently as possible)

Anything with a lot of pointless "stuff". It all has to make sense to me or seem purposeful. I'll buy some pieces with prints or color or pockets, but it can't just be something randomly attached or I will disregard it.

Last but not least, I don't like to wear anything that doesn't speak to me on some level. I know it may sound overly particular or snooty, but I'm not in the habit of buying "random" stuff (at least not anymore), so anything I'll wear has to have some point of interest. It could be some little detail, the fabric, the color, the cut or whatever. It just can't be boring or average (even if it is simple/plain).

  • Terry Cloth.
  • Lycra.
  • Pink shoes. (so corny. I feel like minni mouse).
  • Polka Dots (unless it's on very specific fabrics, like silk).
  • Pitch Black hair.
  • Halter tops.
  • Super tight anything. it might fit me but I've got claustrophobia!.
  • Beige and very light grey..
  • Not taking a shower in order to pull off some look.
  • hair buns.
  • short hair!

-Skinny jeans- not with my arse and thighs.
-High-waisted shirts/dresses- I look pregnant with them. Besides, I need to accentuate the smallest part of me-my waist.
-Short shorts/skirts...showing too much for my liking.

With my short figure (5'1"), I have more trouble finding things that do suit me rather than things that do not.

Some of the pieces that don't fit me are ones I wouldn't wear anyway, namely skinny jeans, most prairie skirts and high waisted jeans. However, I am really devastated that I'm not able to wear maxi-length dresses.

Great thread. Here are some items that can look amazing on the right body, but I can never pull off:

+ icy blonde hair
+ high waisted shorts / jeans
+ empire line / babydoll tops and dresses
+ straight up and down shift dresses
+ basically anything without a defined waist
+ midriffs (why would anyone do this though!?)
+ baggy clothes
+ long skirts / dresses
