Oops, I'm guessing Lou Doillon isn't going to be that much of an inspiration, unless you're into that sort of thing! Sorry...

Since we've established your gender, how about checking out photos of johnny depp? To me he has a classic 'dark' look, without being too identifiable. As someone mentioned before, I think its in the details. Ruching, raw edges, vintage details and also accessorizing. Imagine Russel Brand's scarves or David Beckham's beaded necklaces...

I have to say I wouldn't look up Depp, he's just continuing to be a pirate outside the film set, and before that he looked like a cross between a wannabe artist/grunge rocker.

I don't know if it is wise to look up for celebrities...though I am not exactly sure what you are looking for. I would not look up for the most obvious ones at least.

What kind of "dark touch" are you looking for? Something simple/elegant or something rock'n'roll?

Surely you can't get more dark than 'artist/grunge rocker'?!

I do see your point though. Depp can look a little contrived, sometimes to the point of silliness. See also Orlando Bloom!

I only meant to check out some photos, and maybe pick out one or two accents that appeal. I'd never recommend ripping off an entire look, so do some research, and try and figure out what your ideal style is (though much like whitelinen, I'm unsure quite as to what that is)

xxx

Try reading the paragraph again.

'I do see your point though. Depp can look a little contrived, sometimes to the point of silliness. See also Orlando Bloom!'

I think Grey has a bit of a dark toutch, I love grey tops!
(Black makes me look pale, sick & dead, and grey doesn't.

Even if I am the same age group (even younger) than Loubylou, I do agree with Melt...

You mean where do we come up with this or literally where we are from as in country/culture?

I live in Helsinki, Finland, Scandinavia.

I wasn't meaning my comment in an offensive way if you took it so
