What can I wear it with?

hi @ everyone...iīve never posted before& am new to this site-
that is my question:
i have so many old jeans that i LOVE- and donīt want to throw away, even if they have holes etc. ... do you have a cool idea to restore them...? or is it cooler to wear them even if they are f..... up with something really nice&classy?

I old, worn-in jeans. Too me, nothing is sexier...especially if the faded look is real, not just bought that way. However, I pair my old worn jeans with something that is equal to the look, like an a&f top, or something just basically casual. I wouldn't dream of pairing a nice, elegant sweater with tattered jeans. The looks clash, and to me, you have to sway one way or the other.

Welcome to tFS.

Okay fashionistas...I'm at a loss of what to wear with a black sequin mini skirt. It's not too terribly short (of course I'm pretty short!). I want to wear it to my holiday party this year because of their Casino theme but I don't want to be too Vegas show girl. I'm going to have elegant hair and make up and pretty black satin mules but I am at a loss for the top

Option 1:
White menswear shirt with French cuffs, knotted in front (with no more than a tiny peak of my stomach), open and showing just a peak of a lovely bra.

Option 2:
Black silk charmeuse halter top with long ties at the neck

Option 3:
Black cashmere turtle neck

Any other options are more than appreciated. Your thoughts?

i wear my worn out EARLS with a little bit of CHLOE tops and either some cool flipflops or some CONVERSE.
or just with a simple tee by PETIT BATEAU

I like your third option.

Personally, when wearing a mini skirt, I try to keep whatever's on top, simple and less revealing. Kind of balances things out. So I think a black cashmere turtleneck is great. Especially for a holiday party

i think you should totally play up the theme of the party...it's what people are expecting, so you should do it right. i am not in love with the idea of a man's shirt tied in a knot...my body immediately remembers the hit-me-baby-one-more-time look and shudders...however, the black turtleneck may be a good choice if the party is ultra conservative, else, it's a little too stuffy for this kind of thing (i imagine that ensemble would work better at a restaurant dinner party or some such)...the halter sounds good if it is a lax party but i have a couple of ideas for you...

you could go with a black sheer number on top and wear a beaded bra that would show through...this would give the dazzle of casino/vegas without being too over the top. or with the same beaded number go with a sheer ruffled tux shirt and a very fitted, very tailored tux jacket. shirt unbuttoned down to there to give a peek of the sparkles. finally, maybe some stripped tights (black stripes against black sheer) with a deep cut black tank, a black tux jacket with tails, and a bowtie around the neck, maybe even a top hat...go all out.

To each their own.

I was more focusing on a nicely cut sweater, something almost elegant... NOW, if we're talking about chic pieces, of course - it goes with the look.

I like leyla's suggestion

also maybe a white tank top and tailored suit coat/blazer

or option 3- a tight black tutleneck for a sleek look
