Excuse the earphones!

Okay, I'm wearing this silk Cacharel by Eley Kishimoto dress for my sister's wedding next month. I have a few ideas for how to accessorize, but I 'd like to hear your fresh ideas as well! Heels/flats? jewelry? what to wear on top (will be a bit chilly)...how would you style it?

For chill, I would top it with a short, white colored wrap. Or you could do a long-ish white blazer.
I wouldn't accessorize too much bc it'd compete w/ the dress graphics. Maybe some lucite or clear bangles like Alexis Bittal.
And I think heels would be too much (plus you'll be on your feet for awhile) and I'd be more apt to go with a flat sandal IF appropriate with however formal her wedding will be. If not, strappy high sandals or a wedge.

Thank you Serenity! Fantastic advice, sigh of relief. The chill factor was the biggest concern...I had NOT thought of a white wrap, what a great idea! I hadnt thought of lucite either, that also would in fact go very well.

I'm glad you also think flat sandals would be best, I was thinking of simple gold sandals. It's the dress length... and you're right I'll be running around helping out all day long. The wedding is casual-ish so it's fine.

Bisous, karma, merci!

I need some help with this skirt. Apart from wearing it with a black tank tucked in, a blazer or leather jacket and some really high black heels I have no idea what to do with it. (by the way it is highwaisted, not that the image really shows that)

very cute skirt
i think it would be WAY cooler with something boxy and cropped on top and some cute flat ankle boots...
also way less trashy.........

melisande- the dress is gorgeous and so are you!
i love the idea of lucite and/or metallics with that...
have a great time!

Thanks for the suggestion. I like the idea of something boxy and cropped, but flat boots don't work for me as I'm short so they make me look even shorter and stumpy so it has to be something heeled.

Awww thanks so much softie, such a compliment coming from you

Splash of Colour, personally I like to mix textures...since the skirt has a lovely simple b/w pattern, I would be tempted to go w/ abstract lacy but dark black leggings/tights and high heeled black booties or sandals, but nothing with too much foot showing. I'd keep the legs&feet strong and not feminine. Then, a loose cropped very simple white tee, maybe? With short loose (rolled or not) sleeves. Actually, flutter/puff sleeves would look cute if the tee is not loose. White up, black below. Chanel-type chain bag?

That's something I never would have thought of but it sounds like it'll really work for me. It's something I'll definetly have to try. Thanks

yeah- i like little booties with that skirt...
that's what i was picturing...
a little heel is fine...
but high stilettos just read 'hoochie' with anything short and tight...
(unless you're in a music video)
plus it's a little obvious and not very interesting to me...

anyway-
that might be something you like...so if it is...
just ignore me and my suggestions..
i am just always anti- hooch...

...

Kohls Jacket and Top

OK, I am not sure if the length for this jacket work with my long torso. I am also trying to pair this with a new top. It doesn't flare out after my waist line, but it does cinch near my rib cage and waist, almost like a princess waist

With a grey jacket (button up)

Here is what my blouse looksit looks like without the jacket

Does this work? or maybe i should roll the jacket sleeve down?
any comment would be appreicated

Which purse, black crutch or red hobo

Can anyone comment should i pair this outfit with a black crutch or red hobo? My though was if i wear my black pump, i pair if with a blk crutch for more of an even look. and use the red hobo with my red peep toe for a more casual look. Am I even close or totally off?

I think the outfit looks better with the red hobo, imo.

Gives it some color.

i would love some input on what kinds of shorts would look good with these boots!
(something flattering for someone who doesn't have super-long legs )

summers are pretty cool where i live, so the combo of boots + skirt or shorts works really well...

any ideas?
