I don't know but I guess I'd better get on it!

I promised my friends I'd be more than a "hot b*tch" this year, which has been my getup for the past 3-4 yrs

anyone have any ideas for dressing up for halloween at college? I don't want one of those extremely 'sexy' costumes, but something unique that I can still look cute it. Any ideas???

I am so glad to see this topic! I love Halloween and this year I made my own Marie Antoinette costume from Simplicity Pattern # 0516.

Here it is

Dressing up as The Joker would be the most obvious one this year. Margot Tenenbaum...an inspired choice!

Not a female one, which is why I considered it. I probably won't bother with that one though.

This year, I am going to be Gold Fever...I have a gold sequinned strapless dress that I got at Express late last year (the kinda Versace-inspired one), and then I am going to add some sort of bolero or collar. Of course, very elaborate makeup-I am expecting to use half my jar of MAC's Marigold glitter.

I am so indecisive. I want to be something that would play up my pale skin and black hair. Any ideas? I'm willing to make my own costume, I just can't decide.

That's what I was thinking. Or how about Winona Ryder's character in Beetlejuice?

My brother recently went to a convention dressed as The Joker -- he said there were tons of others dressed as the Joker as well, though. So I can only imagine the loads of people that are going to go as him on Halloween.

To the OP: Go with a blonde wig, which is the easiest option I think. You can find one easily that's relatively cheap, and considering how simple/basic Margot wears her hair, I imagine it'll be easy to make adjustments to it if needed.

Anyway, if I don't change my mind until Halloween, I will be going as the hamburglar.
