mehq, I wish I could see how you look so I can pick the dress for you , but I'll try.

Ms. Exeter says a pink Chanel Haute Couture suit is perfect for any wedding. So while it seems a tad bit grown up and gallaxies away from you and your budget look for similar items of clothing, you can build upon, from stores nearby.

You'll be the chic-est, trust me.

Lena, my concern with the pecoraro is also the mauve. I'm scared that with my pale skin tone it will wash me out.

ooh igni, lovely, unfortunately I don't live in a city that offers access to even bad chanel knock-offs. However i've decided when I go to Calgary I'm going to go to Holt Renfrew and look and see what they have there. If nothing there, then online it is!!
However I was looking around yoox and found this cute dress by Miu Miu however I think in my mind even when I look at it I'm imagining it more full skirted than it is. I think it's this dress from s/s '03:

Did you think I was going to let this topic die? oh no friends! Anyway I think I found it! Well I'm going to see if Holt Renfrew has it....and try it on. Anyway I absolutely adore this dress and love that it reminds me of the Prada dress that I adored this season:

well i can't find it, but it's a prada dress. renee z. wore it on the cover of the december vogue. it's tight at the top and loose at the bottom and about knee length.

I think black for a wedding is fine these days, and I have read over and over that it is okay to do. Like others said-just not too sexy and make sure it is appropriate for the time of day.
