well i can't find it, but it's a prada dress. renee z. wore it on the cover of the december vogue. it's tight at the top and loose at the bottom and about knee length.
If it's from either Prada's f/w '03 or s/s '04 I would know it to see it because I absolutely ADORED those collections, hence the ombre coloured dress. Is ombre the right word? I hope so.

Ombre is shaded dyeing. Is that like what they did on those Prada dresses? I can't conjure up a mental image of the Prada line from last season. I suck that way.

No ombre isn't what Miuccia did. Well she dip-dyed her clothing and thus made it ombre? I'm not sure if they are mutually exclusive.

it was blue and green and white with a pasiley pattern.

i saw it in red as well.

the bodice was thin sewed up stripes...if that makes sense. not stripes but like thin folding of the fabric and then sewing at the opening of the fold, all around the top

It was my b-f's cousin's wedding on last Saturday. First when i heard black is not the right color at wedding ceremony i didn't understand. I thought it's a nice classic elegant color...yeah. ^^" I saw a woman there, she was like a matrix lady in full black or the black widow herself. She was pitiable sitting away from ppl and looking like a pride chicken.

See what I mean...black looks too ominous. Traditionally, in western culture, it was a color of mourning, and so in ceremonial settings, it still carries a connotation of death, or the implication that the person wearing black is signalling disapproval of the nuptuals by mourning for the bride or groom.

There are limitless other colors out there. It is not impossible to find something more appropriate to the occasion. Hell, even Goths wear purple, red, dark green, and electric blue sometimes. If a Goth can do it, anyone can.

I was wearing a wine-red silk dress with roses on the upper side and a Swarovski necklace. I was wonderful....it's not my opinion the other guests told me! ^_-

The first couple of links didn't work for me either, but the rest did . . . maybe try the others?

every week I scour the new net-a-porter purchases. They have some gorg mini dresses that would work well with tunics (or nice dresses, depending on the length) that I'm thinking would look great with white pants (or black) depending and I'll just change pants and accessories for reception.
silk peacock dress

nude isn't a great color on pale people but depending on this one's particular color might look great with white pants:

I like this one best:

Thoughts on the aforementioned as an outfit?
