Oh I adore Charlotte. I'll add Julie Christie, another English beauty She lives by her own terms, and is still beautiful.

They are not icons but more like inspirations from which I stem my personal style from.

My main style icon would probably be a girl i was friends with at uni and that now lives in London. She taught me everything i know about style just from watching what she wore.

then probably: French actresses and fashion editors, Street style found by people watching, Erin wasson, Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore's 90's film characters

I've thought really hard trying to determine who my real style/fashion icons are as I tend to feel very affected by people who actually create style rather than carry it for the most part..
That Black Flag shirt with the ethnic stuff - where is that editorial from? It's very cool! I love random mixings.

I generally get inspired by particular images more than people. Tamara de Lempicka paintings, or enduring ad campaigns [e.g. Chanel, Keira, bowler hat & white shirt] where you don't necessarily need to copy the clothes to channel something of the spirit involved... And almost every beautiful/visually arresting film I see has some effect on my style, whether for a day or for a year. But I guess long-term style icons would include Chrissie Hynde, Anna Karina, Daphne Guinness, Erin O'Connor, and Kate Moss before she settled into her current style [which looks pleasant on her but isn't at all inspiring].

I get inspired by movies like Bright Young Things, Gosford Park, most Audrey Hepburn movies, Blow Up, Dr Zhivago, Almost famous, Blade Runner, Strange Days, All About Eve... er.. the Batman film with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in it I'm not a fan of Eva Green's real-life personal style, but every movie she makes ends up inspiring me, from her amazing French style in the Dreamers and that stunning eye-makeup in Kingdom of Heaven, to the amazing, elegant severity she had in Casino Royale.

I dont have an icon persay that I model after, but I think Johnny Depp has that 'I can pull off anything' style, which I try to do as well (not nearly as successfully though ha!)
