Oh .. and that white dress. Should we call it la mariée?

Or just go ahead and use the word "regal" to describe it?

absolutely a beautiful collection! but its just missing that little something that pushed it over the top like mcqueen always did. this could be deigned for any other exciting designer, but mcqueen always put something in there that was new. i think with time sarah will realize this and put it out there.

This is a much better showing than her runway debut last season. It feels much more focused and much more controlled, not to mention more McQueen in spirit. I do have to say that I still find some of her show pieces too obviously worked - not that McQueen's showpieces weren't intensely worked as well, but some of Burton's more dramatic efforts don't quite work the way his did. Still, it's a pretty damn good collection.

What i love about Sarah Burton is that she has kept the McQueen aesthetic and signature style but made it all much more wearable than it was before. This will make the brand much more profitable!
I find this to be her strength as well as it being the main difference between her and Hannah at Chloé. Hannah, instead of doing her own thing mixed with the brand aesthetics, I feel is imitating whatever Phoebe did/does. Sarah has found the perfect balance of mixing her own style while still keeping the spirit of the McQueen identity intact. This makes her collections not seem like imitations but instead like something progressing the brand.

This might not be my favorite McQueen collection but it makes me happy

I love this collection, especially the shoes and the dress Frida closes with !
And I don't really see it as Burton carrying on McQueen's aesthetic or whatever, because her aesthetic was always a part of the McQueen line. (I don't think she gets enough recognition for what she has done before McQueen passed)

This is rather boring!
Not close to what McQueen used to be!

I really hate the lace up looks, but everything else is downright perfect. Not only are the dresses amazing- Burton really latches on and evolves the "earthy" element that has always been present, if often times downplayed, in McQueen collections- but the accessories are TO DIE FOR. What I wouldn't give for one of those skull caps or a pair of those wedges!!! The current McQueen is so dreamy and supernatural, like, something out of a fairy tale.
