sorta soft manish aurora a/w 2008. (all this insect-butterfly thing is quite obvious- was an inspiration, im quite surprised what noone spied it yet. hairdo, boots, colors, forms and shapes- its butterflies and not aliens) so for me thats high manish aurora but without that splash of colors but with add of hologram image and lots of silver

funny i'm after the same thing myself.. but not after a loom..

i didn't realise mcqueen was quite interested in this side even, so it's great to hear. especially with ghesquiere he already makes the fabrics himself, his atelier by hand.. it's wonderful! i can see the likeness in all of their past works.

I definitely have to agree with you, I see a lot of similarities between this and Manish Arora.

It's just fascinating. That's why I love fashion. Because some creative individuals can come up with collections like this one. Obviously I also like seeing more "traditional" -as in 100000x more wearable- collections, but that one is like a breath of fresh air.

This reminded me of H.R. Giger immediately as well!!! I'm so blown away by this... I kept saying 'whoaaaaaa' to myself on every page. The people around me must think I'm crazy by now.

This is fantasical and amazing but I still find myself yearning (just a little bit) for FW06.07, SS07 Mcqueen: both breathtakingly beautiful shows.

I do wish McQueen would show back in London though, I think his collections would make so much more sense if they were presented in the city, the same with Pugh ever since he has moved to Paris the excitement and energy in his work has all but evaporated but in London he showed some of his best ever collections, the city is so raw and full of life! I think though after Londons efforts for Spring/summer 2010 and rather lack-luster efforts from the other capitals there make be a big shake up in fashion week formats, particularly if this live broadcastings goes the way it does, and I'm not a huge believer in the internet and fashion but I must say this method has been extremely successful in democratizing and enhancing the fashion experience without compromising the work of the designers!
