I was not too fond of last season, but I think this is great. I like the colours and materials / fabrics.

90% of this collection looks so cheap, namely because of the terrible addition of those buttons.. but without the buttons, what is it?

Cathy can go shove it for all I care, the collection was a great demonstration of beautiful tailoring without all the crazy gimmicks of fashion today, not that it hasn't worked for Joseph before. I don't see much of Balenciaga in this collection as I see Carine Roitfeld, who's Joseph's biggest muse for his collections season after season.

I like the pieces but I feel that it's Dior meeting Versace to make something suitable for New York!

Dominatrix-chic a la Mugler with a hint of Balenciaga. Not too fond of the buttons but this is sexy for sure.

Hm, I think this feels so forced. Don't like the buttons everywhere, don't like the mini cropped jackets, and certainly don't like the fur mittens. I do like the last two dresses, though.

You really don't see Balenciaga, even after all the pictures I posted to clearly illustrate that he DOES rip of Nicholas?
How naive can any of you be to not see how unoriginal this "designer" is? He has no point of view that is unique - all I've ever seen from him is low budget Balenciaga, Tom Ford's Gucci, Galliano, and Carine Roitfeld. WTF?

I agree with Cathy, every collection reminds of some past collection of either Balenciaga or Tom Ford for Gucci. I guess it doesnt help he has Vanessa Traina and Melanie Huynh stringing him along. I'm still trying to figure out who is the Altuzarra woman is? He hasn't really created a strong identity for his brand...not bad this season but nothing groundbreaking...

It's one or two looks of different seasons, I think that's just coincidental, so please don't tell me that i'm naive, I don't care about your opinion dior_couture1245 so please whine your head off about who you believe he is copying from, meanwhile I will look at this collection and continue to admire his incredible tailoring and killer trousers.

I hate to break it to you, but it absolutely is NOT a coincidence. Ladies and gentleman, style.com is a powerful tool that is not just for the casual Internet browser. I'd wager that Mr. Altuzarra has the Balenciaga archive bookmarked on his home page.

Listen, I work in this industry and I know what goes on behind closed studio doors, and let me tell you, these designer's inspiration boards are full collection print outs from style.com. End of story.

Lol ok, this argument was interesting before your ego got in the way so i'll stop myself now.

The collection is still gorgeous, original or not, I think Altuzarra has an identity in this industry. Did anyone see Vanessa Traina's dress from the collection? It looks gorgeous on her.

Dior Couture, there is balenciaga but also quite a bit of Tom Ford I find, the most blatant was this collection

http://www.style.com/fashionshows/co...010RTW-ALTZRRA

and compare this with Tom Ford's collection from several seasons before

http://www.style.com/fashionshows/co...F2003RTW-GUCCI

Yeah for sure he has those pages on style.com bookmarked

The clothes themselves somehow feel cheap and badly tailored.

So because it's tight and fitted and ubber sexy, it's Tom Ford? Get over it people, move on.

I see minor threads of Balenciaga, no direct knock off or hidden scheme in this collection. However, aside from the usage of buttons, I see no relation to any of the looks you posted, dior_couture1245. Guess I'm blind.

And the images from Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2009, shouldn't that be in the Alexander Wang Fall 2013 Post? I mean, he used the ape gloves first, right? You could have taken a picture of the fur mittens from the same collection, but you didn't, so...

I adore this collection, but I agree with Cathy and as I noted earlier, it seems the Wang and Altuzarra share a design book. They need to stop doing that ASAP, it isn't cute.
