After two poor seasons, a return to something like the promise of his debut collection for Mr Altuzarra

Agree! This looks promising! Last season was a disaster for him. This looks quite polished. I'm curious about those fabrics. Is it woven leather? I can't tell from the small photos :S

Again, I feel like comparisons have been hastily made. Both designers showed leather dresses but in almost no way are they stylistically similar beyond the choice of material.

I like it! That last piece is my fav.

And having just seen the quite awful Wang collection, if they did exchange notes/ ideas, Alexander was not paying attention...

I disagree. These comparisons are fairly made based on what they have shown recently. As I have mentioned, go back and look at Wang and Altuzarra's fall collection. They shared more than just the materials. This season, it's no exceptions. Once again, similarities are found. For this to happen consecutively, it isn't so much of a coincidence. Evidently, the two are sharing the same ideas and interpreting it their own ways.

Altuzurra is much more body-conscious, while A. Wang's clothes are shapeless. To me, they are completely different.

I remember last season and, just like this season, I truly fail to see the similarities.

Meh,not bad, nothing too exciting either, but I definitely think it's better than his previous collections.

Some of the fabrics seemed too heavy for spring/summer season, though.

Oh yay! This is closer to his first 2 collections which I really enjoyed. Loving the leather here, it's so sexy
