How could he go from that strong beginning (those "detective" coats ) to that tapestry explosion on the final 5 looks? And boy, are those shoes vile...
But, I think this is a case of good outweights the bad. I especially like the black fringed pieces, and the outerwear in general.
I still haven't figured out his aesthetic, it's so different from season-to-season and his ideas are always heavily borrowed from other designers -- I hate when people scream out "copycat" when seeing collections, but with him, I get it. The only thing I've figured out from him is that his muse is Carine Roitfeld, and it's beyond awkward how much every collection looks like her. So maybe that's his aesthetic, the Rotifeld look. Weird, whatever. I actually sort of thought he had potential with his early collections, but this is the nail in the coffin, I'm over it.
'Mon amour, je sais que tu m'aimes aussi, tu as besoin de moi, tu as besoin de moi dans ta vie,
tu ne peux vivre sans moi et je mourrerai sans toi. Je tuerai pour toi'
I was really unsure of what I thought but after watching it all in motion, I'm in love the tailoring at the beginning is amazing and then I love all those dresses in motion. They do look a little heavy but I can't deny they're still beautiful. Best collection of NYC so far.

It felt like jacked up Reed Krakoff at first, and then later, just jacked up.

The heels are blatantly copied from Balenciaga. I don't understand his appeal either. He has lots of support and hype from the Vogue staff but I honestly think he only receives attention because he has a nice face...Nice face but no talent.
This was one of his better shows for me. I loved the evolution from beginning to end. I also loved how he did his tribal / ethno thing but how it was super controlled. Overall a very focused and chic offering
After seeing the entire collection, I have to ask, is Carine Roitfeld a consultant for the brand? The aesthetic was so Carine. It was brilliant! The styling and the way everything was designed seemed to mirror her style, no?
^In love with the last few dresses, I think there super fresh and cool but also well done and flattering which is hard with so much fabric, could definitely see them on Kate Bosworth or Zoe Saldana

Agreed. It's so Carine-inspired. Even the accessories (e.g. those boots). No doubt we will see Carine wearing some of the outfits later.
