Beth Ditto is fast becoming an icon in the music world and the fashion world. Can't wait to see her in his clothes.

I think his collection hit at the right time. Alaia and Herve Leger and that sort of look are definately having a resurgence and he definately filled that with his s/s 07 collection. I guess he is selling well, so he's probably going to be around for a while

damn he's hyped. i really like the fact that he doesnt fall in front of celebrities' feet. but obviously he doesnt need it anyways because he's timing is perfect and he knows it. he also knows he's on top of the world right now. however, for many young and talented designers, they need to suck up a little get just a little bit of fame. it's depressing, but that's reality. and i really dont like it either, falling in front of celebrities' feet, not many can get offers from big name houses and tea time with wintour.
and i also like the fact that he's straight out about the money and household thing. hehe..he read that mcqueen interview? he seems to know his place(which is a pretty good spot for a young designer) and what he's doing.

funny...i wanted to go to st martin because i sort of want to follow mcqueen's footsteps and i know this school will open up more opportunity than any other schools in the world.
it is so very very strange to come back to this article and my reply more than a year later considering the situation is much different now
i did ended up coming to london and went to st martins for foundation but quickly decided it's not worth the trouble, for BA at least. and the strangest thing is i ended up interning for christopher kane right now. obviously he's not as hyped now as he was at that time which i find to be more comfortable for me at least.
he and his sister and everyone in the studio work really hard, especially during this period of time, just a little over a month before the show. he's quite adorable actually but gets serious when seriousness was needed. i really like working there but feel rather sad that i can't work full time because of school. i hope the upcoming show goes well because the pieces are looking great
emma cook actually works in the building next to his studio hehe

muxu,i think i'd be more excited about emma!

anyway, that's nice to hear. even though i am not his biggest fan it's great to have a more intimate perspective of him in the work environment. and yes he is less hyped it-boy these days which i am relieved about.
