thanks for posting the pics of the individual pieces runner...
you are right.... less costume-y on their own... i definitely think the tops are stronger than the bottoms though... i could see pairing the romantic tops with something a bit 'tougher' on the bottom (cropped cargoes maybe?)... and then that would make them more contemporary/modern and easier to wear imo... i especially like the first two tops in post #41... they look comfy and cool at the same time... runner.. could you please explain this more...? pieces in a beautiful, antiquarian trunk... in a lovely attic somewhere far away... Just gorgeous... I love all the easy details... & the necklace made of what seems to be shoelaces (???) is very beautiful, too... Thanks for posting, Runner! Amazing as always...

i guess there is some overlap...
i don't really know the term progressive rock... though i understand the mood you have explained... all the old linens etc and the 19th century dial are certainly elements of what people have begun calling steam punk... i guess the styling would make all the difference... thanks for the clarification...
