Designed by the brand’s men’s studio, the collection was an ode to Dandyism — and a dalliance between formalwear and functional outerwear. Silhouettes hinged on oppositions of fit: voluminous, rounded coats in lacquered wool or distressed canvas parkas over lean trousers, or, conversely, more fitted jackets with large, cropped pants. The mix of riding coats, parkas, cropped peacoats and hooded duffle coats with sharp and lean two- or three-button suits and minimalist ankle boots added up to a luxury take on the Mod silhouette.

well you can definitely tell they're in a transition period because most of it looks like the work of design students. not terribly bad but forgettable really.

don't think so, it's pretty much like what Christopher Booth did in previous collections.

I've always found Balenciaga menswear to be forgettable really, he had a more dynamic focus to his menswear back in his hay days, so this doesn't really look totally different fron Nicolas's previous work.

I don't see anything wrong with this, I never totally understood the balenciaga guy but this looks well done and and true to the brand Nicholas created. Makes you wonder if PPR should have just had the men's director take on the women's line.

not bad but a little bland for balenciaga, i hardly see any edge and the tailoring looks almost sloppy... you can tell they're in transition indeed.. i miss ghesquiere

This is great actually; you got a bit of sci-fi, Safari & retro looks going on in here, but they actually make sense...I'm definitely a fan of the safari jackets and the camel looks.
