Yes the visors are cool, however the dresses are not doing anything for me.

Having said that, the camel skirt in the top left picture is quite attractive.

Really don't understand the appeal of anything in the top line. Everything is so boxy and unflattering. Also that knee length skirt can be so chic, but the way he has done it here; its not successful. It just doesn't "work" for me.

The second row is quite interesting however. An element of sport? Those fabrics look quite techno / very Ghesquiere. The colour palette also reminds me of something a little more street-wear / sporty. The shoes, as always, are beautiful and interesting.

..this is 2012? I am confused. It looks like an archive collection from 2001.

For some reason I find it very Balenciaga, love the retro-futuristic vibes and those visors are pretty cool. Still I need to see the full product, considering there's more to come.

Interesting Balenciaga always produces complicated garment anyway, so i want to see the whole thing and the whole concept.

I always like Balenciaga, but it feels like I've already seen most of these pieces....

its nothing special. but ive learned not to expect much out of nicolas anymore. it seems he is no longer leading the fashion pack, he's just rehashing what he's already done.

Intriguing, as always. I guess it will all clear out a bit with bigger shots and after seeing the S/S 12 show, perhaps. Seeing some great pieces already, though, I'm really loving the look in the second photo.

I think it's only the visors (which make me think of a round of golf - on the moon) that give a sporty feel. If you put a finger over the heads, the garments of themselves are not so much anything sporty. There's ease in the silhouette for sure but from the garments minus visors in images 3, 4 and 5 I got more tourist than sports.

I liked the shorts in 4 and 5 (I think they're shorts). They evoked shirtdresses.

The looks in image one are interesting in mashing decade iconography. I hate to do 'decade journalism' (it's a contributing factor in the 'copy of a copy' cynicism of retroism with all it's lowbrow costumic sentimentality) but yes the triangulated shoulders (80's); the droppy waist tunics (20s/60s); but then the skirtpiece flaring out toward a-line/ circle (50's). 'Mash' pieces/looks, hybrids, are perhaps all that's left by way of originality in silhouette formation at least. But so long as there is some originality fashion lives (and that part of PoMo that denies the possibility of originality can go for a game of golf on the moon)
