He really seems to be working within the realm of bad taste but honestly, after having the sex in milan stripped right before my very eyes, I welcome any trashy glamour I can find.

I need to see the whole thing, though. I can't condone too much trash at Balmain.

I quite like it. Its so "rock and roll". Different from what we're used to seeing.

I really don't know how I feel about this I'm in love with Snejana's, Maryna's and Isabeli's dresses, but I dislike almost every other

I still don't get the hype around Balmain. He's basically doing the same kind of stuff that designers like D&G, Versace and Cavalli have been criticized for doing for ages. It's tacky, it's trashy, it's slutty.....I see no difference.

Why is this better than the originals who pioneered the look?

I am very mixed on this collection. I like some pieces, but other pieces (mainly the ones with the tacky print) aren't my thing.

Because now's the time for being tacky, trashy and slutty

That's an interesting double standard, cause you can be damn sure that if the Italians did trashy, tacky and slutty now, people would still hate it...

I just figured it was because Balmain shows in Paris, so it's immediately chic.

looking at a few more pieces, i feel that the collection will be pretty hit or miss for me. the longer dresses and a couple of the shorter ones are really lovely, but the zebra print, leopard print and leather pant seem really tacky...
