That's the most fantastic post I've read all week! Nolan Miller must be proud.

This is so tacky. It looks like an 80s costume party at an ice rink.

I wonder how much their sales have dropped since Rousteing's arrival. They certainly seem to have lost their foothold in print and with editors themselves. I can't imagine him surviving much longer.

I hope MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" was playing as they walked down the runway, because that's all I can think of when I look at this collection.

Okay. What is the construction of those pieces? And what are those silhouettes? The wide shoulders and sleeves and torsos... That emerald dress on Bette makes her body look inhuman. I thought those proportions couldn't be achieved by earthlings, and yet there it is. And everything looks so frumpy and the colors look dated and URGH.

MC Hammer as inspiration? Who would have thought. The look was not popular even when he was popular.

I loved the first look, then everything went wrong! There are some lovely pieces, though!

Wow, he managed to outcrap himself yet again! And like I said before, this looks exactly like the pre-season collection that came before it. These silhouettes are just god awful, my eyes hurt. I wish Decarnin was back at the helm, his work was repetitive but at least it was nicer to look at than this

Someone needs to call MC Hammer and see if any of his pants have been stolen.

Balmain became so trashy after the change.
i think it´s just matter of time that there will be another change- which is needed.

How young is this guy? I mean is he missing the 80s where he wasn't even born maybe? This is hideous! Just gone from good to worst!

This is LITERALLY from the 80's. Literally. This Claude Montana realness right here. I don't think I have seen a more straightforward retro reference lately, it doesn't get any more dated than this. Huge, resounding "no" from me.

PS. I'm sure this collection would have been a huge hit back then though.
