Exactly. It's one thing to reference the 80s but not show a whole collection from the 80s. This is a disaster and I hope the critics call him out.

He must have used a DeLorean to go steal Joan Collins clothes.

Any look would fit right in some Star Trek TNG episode for random alien extra. Seriously. No redeeming qualities whatsoever there.

That said i think its too literally 80s and quite unflattering to the models I wonder what it will look like on real life women

Oh no. I've loved all of Olivier's collections up until this. This is a whole new kind of ugly.

Just his fourth season and it already seems he's out of ideas...

There are some pretty cool pieces but the collection looks a bit awkward. And too much shiny stuff!

This collection is terrible in my eyes! I really liked his earlier ones but this looks so cheap! It is even more painful when you see that they are priced way more than other designers. They guy should chill out and stop trying too hard. Many of this looks very forced, dated and very tacky.

Tacky. I don't like this, as usual.

At first I felt like what Christophe's created didn't suit with the price of Balmain. Therefore, I feel like Olivier would be perfect as he would focus on detail and luxurious. After several season I missed Christophe. This is not Balmain that I used to like and admire. It's overwhelmed with his design and over accessorized with fabric and detail.

Christophe's hole t-shirt sold out at full price, while Olivier's embroidered dress is still selling at 80% off on Outnet
