Tomas Maier is such a genius at what he does. This is the most luxurious collection I've ever seen! Just looking at all the crocodile skin, leathers, and silks, from the vantage point of a live stream, already made me feel how expensive everything is. Sure, it's not the most exciting nor the most innovative design-wise, but the sophistication, craftsmanship, and elegance are all there - and that's just what Bottega Veneta stands for!

Congratulations on 50 years Bottega Veneta, here's to 50 more!

Another brand going for the 'my old is my new' vibe, which always works for me. Many good pieces in here, although I sort of feel like Tomas/Bottega in general has lost its relevance in the fashion industry, which ultimately dilutes the punch this could have had.

Amazing collection! It's very elegant and ultra luxurious with sublime details. I think he is still very relevant and doesn't need to make noise or be too trendy to make his mark. I can't help but love the casting too!

I really love this collection. It's fashion and luxurious. I want everything from menswear, and I want the see the girls clothes everywhere next season.

Half luxe, half drab. Those saddle shoes were a misstep [no pun intended].

doesnt seem any how much different from their existing offerings in their shops, the leathers and crocs etc are quite a staple for BV.

do we really need a show for clothes like these?

Tomas Maier*s designs are really getting stale..

Finally— a solid, gorgeous, luxurious and dreamy collection worthy of Italian high fashion, that's confidently grounded in reality.

Love the dark, sombre palette that still looks light as air and the sleek silhouettes that hint at the flattering dressing of the 1950s, complete with saddle shoes, and James Dean full pants on the guys. The details are a memory-lane down the best of Italian silhouettes, from Ferre to Prada without actually copying anyone. This is how you take inspiration and make it your own. This guy is so skillful in the Italian way I hope he’ll always be around.

If Alessandro’s sparkiest and most dazzling offering introduced the new Italian style for spring 2016, then Tomas ended it perfectly with a quiet, serene, loving ode to the timelessness that Italian style will always come to represent for me. Sadly, other than these two labels, there’s not much worth to remember. NYC leads for me, with Vera Wang, Rodarte and Thom Browne. Milan trailing with only Gucci and Bottega…
