I've seen better from him....

The color palette is gorgeous, but I think it works better with the menswear. It's been quite a while since he's blown me away though...

simply gorgeous , and one of the few collections so far that doesn't try hard to be something or other . Beautiful clothes with a clear identity. It's not a collection to change lives but al least it's honest

For me the transformation is complete. BV is now a fashion house.
I don't know how the costumers will respond to that, I liked the collection, but still raw in some aspects and thats why looked so weird in some looks. I can't wait to see how all this will mature in the next seasons.

And some looks are simply ugly.
They have their customers and they sell good enough this time but
i don't like it at all.

And, yes, @ liberty33r1b ,you are right
it is far away from his good collections.
Maybe Bottega Veneta is about ease but elegance and neutral colours but this collection is worse that his past collections.

I'm surprised by the praise. I find it quite old and frumpy. Some good pieces here and there but for me, Maier cannot deliver anymore.

I was just about to write that I am surprised by the praise as well. Color palette aside, everything looks very heavy, over-embellished and dated to me. I cannot believe this came out of Maier actually, it verges on bad taste but in a very severe way.

It's way too Prada Spring 2016 with all the grommets and shapes. Heck some of the colors even resemble it. I thought it was too boring and heavy handed to be enjoyable like most of his spring/summer collections.

Really impressed with the diverse casting. I like the accessories. The multicolored snake trim on the clothes with the matching belt ... really nice belt silhouette. And agree about the colors ... some very nice ones here. I think this show does a great job of integrating the mens and womenswear.
