susie,i think considering their reputation as extreme perfectionists it's safe to assume that perhaps given only the 11 looks, they probably spent even more of their meticulous time on this. but you are right too, that the images can be decieving....probably even more work than we realise! okay, maybe i'm letting my faithfully stubborn fandom cloud my judgements

^I'm joining you in my fandom as well...!

I have a few of their RTW pieces and its about the closest thing I have to couture just because the garments make me feel like they were MEANT for me....

I like the last gown and the white/cream shoes -- but like other hc collections so far, I am not very interested or excited. I would love to see more detailed shots though.

The idea of having only 11 outfits is good.

Mulletproof, I think both Boudicca and Cathy Pill are guest designers this season invited by Chambre Syndicale. Boudica will probably show RTW at New York again... damn I wished they returned to London!

I'm not familiar with Boudicca however I like the idea of doing a small collection because they can focus more on getting each piece to be flawless.

Very sharp, as expected. I'm kind of disappointed by the small amount of looks. They presented some great looks that I would have loved to have seen them expand upon. Even if they only did, say, 20 looks all together....I just feel a little cheated right now, like it was just a tease.

Unless that was the point, in which case they're kind of brilliant.

i heard that as well, zamb. for some reason,i get this feeling they're going to back in Paris for PAP. I dunno why but they're in Paris every season doing showrooms so maybe an official presentation.

i really hope they'll be in London though...but i just got that feeling....

YSL was regarded as the greatest designer of the last 50 yrs, largely because he made couture clothing that were very much as wearable as the RTW.
the couture staged today by Dior , etc, is largely for editorial purposes,
the younger designers are more interested in selling and also dont have the resources to do the extravagant shows that the bigger houses have, therefore smaller presentations with more wearable clothes become more feasable.
I personally like the smaller shows, where designers can focus on the quality and the technique of clothing construction, also, these are clothes people can buy and wear, as opposed to stuff that goes directly to the archives or to a museum..........

Very well said.

I do like this, it's a bit too dynasty for me, but it's interesting and wearable. No complaints here.
