i have never seen a more perfect procession of impeccable coats. seriously, how can any woman or man choose just one? the tweed coat with patent details held together with a two tone leather belt and topped with a flourish of black fur will keep me up at night. although i still contend that burberry prorsum remains one beat late with its ready-to-wear collections, when christopher bailey puts out stuff as good as he has for the past three seasons, the stuff seems to endure in a way that makes trend seem quite irrelevant. those shearlings still look as fashionable today as they did on runway and those biker jackets remain frenzy inducing. i'm not sure how he's doing it, but i hope he keeps it up. he's definitely on a roll.

The bow belts are exactly like the ones Giambattista Valli did a few years back.

1960's British groupie redux done a la Balenciaga... in the best way possible! Really impressed with this collection and all of it's bright colors!

At first I was a bit disappointed thanks to some of the sleeves on the coats. But now I find the collection overall to be alright if not better than in recent collections. I like the bright, eye-catching colours used and was quite surprised as how well some of the plaids looked. I will admit that shoes do look a bit of a rip-off of Balenciaga.

Some seriously unflattering silhouettes in the mix here. Especially some of those coats, which are Burberry classics.. a little disappointed to be honest..

Just realized I missed the second half of the collection. The white and black pieces are pretty stunning, I won't lie.

that was a clear homage to cristobal done in nicolas way.... this is ripping of what nicolas did, not historic balenciaga.

i want it all...seriously...
...

the video was gorgeous...so much detail in the back of the coats...they move so beautifully...
the graphic quality, with the contrast trim and buttons, etc...make it so, so striking!
the pants....grrrr....the pants!!!....
and the finale...oh god...just took my breath away...
oh, to be in that audience...i know i would have cried...

* funny- the balenciaga influence so many are talking about is the sleeve part that others are saying ruins the whole thing...
ahhh...how fickle fashion is...
:p

but how lovely this is...
sure to be knocked off left and right!...

*and the 'toggle' belt...
that is THE belt of the decade!...
i will own that...by hook or by crook!...

^me too. at first look I wasn't too keen on the sleeves, but they grew on me fast. and I absolutely LOVE all the white coats. it's like winter won't be complete without one...well all of them, particularly the one on abbey lee with the adorable little bow tie belt.

my only negative is that I still don't get what Bailey is trying to do with those long flare leg pants (like from pre-fall collection) because those are not going to flatter every type of woman - or any woman under 5'10 lol

All the Burberry shows since 2004 have been pretty much the same , I think this is the first time I see something quite different and its great , the couture inspired jackets , the hoof like pants , and killers shoes , this soooo beats last season.
I disagree , I own 2 pair of flared Burberry pants , they really lengthen your legs and balance out your hips

Burberry's flared pants have been a signature for quite some time , because well they sell and they are flattering , I own 2 , I am 5'5 and a size 6 US , and have hips, another thing the ones here are not exactly like the ones you get in store, they are tailored quite differently.
