All right, I have to spit it out. THE SHOES! Taken directly from Balenciaga F/W 06 show.

on the whole I loved it. I do think it has lost some of the poetry of the older shows. But the coats are consistently a knock out.

I loved the collection as a whole, even though I didn't like some of the silhuettes, I found them unflattering.
The music was fantastic. First sountrack was Lesley Gore You Don't Own Me.

Didn't love it all, but some of the white coats were truly gorgeous. Didn't like the hats either. Not my favourite season.

Adored all of the tweed, especially the pea green piece late in the show. Some of the fur seems absolutely needless and actually detracts from many of the garments. Wish that the men's collection was the last we'd seen of those dreaded hats. It was an improvement overall on the Summer, though, with some lovely coats although some of the bags were a little derivative (one was reminiscent of Celine.)

I am still processing things from a fashion standpoint, but the positive standouts are the larger handbags, the solid-colored trenches (car length) and the white dresses. Not that it is the be all-end all, but it was a very good show from a production standpoint - hey, I'm a sucker for snow and also the music.

P.S. As of now the show is still playing on a loop and most if not all of the clothes and accessories from the collection are also posted at the bottom of the screen.
