He is earning my respect - I really used to underestimate him. He is a real heir to Calvin Klein. It is NOT at all boring, see the way that long coat with the non-existent-but-there folded collar merged into the rest of the body in post #46, creating a very slight volume...genius!! The folding is also not obvious like an origami tack-on "decoration" you see in every show. A lot of intelligent and interesting concepts here, look carefully. He is right on with the longer, slimmer proportion too. You don't need bright shiny things crunched up or dangling here and there, sewn on, or embellished to make good fashion. And god, you don't need another ugly beaded pouf party dress/skirt or poodle-socialite-fur-trimmed coat (like the one on AnnaW) on NYFW!

It just gets better and better each season. Very contemporary in the use of fabric and the cuts are amazing!

Calvin + Costa = Perfection

I love this collection - those structures and cuts - both extremely simple and beautiful. It's feminine, precious and I believe this is the kind of clothes that somehow manage not to dominate one's personality and yet, stun us with their beauty and maestry.

I like it. Calvin Klein has never quite appealed to me before, but I love almost every piece from this collection.

I like the collars of the coats and dresses, but for the most part, everything else below it just bores me.

But then again, I'm not a fan of minimalism. The only Francisco Costa collection I liked was Spring 2006.

It's beautifully cut and proportioned, much more even than Rodriguez, and dare I say very Jil Sander
,

I couldn't agree more, and would even say THIS is what Jil Sander should look like...
Very intelligent, architectual and elegant. Who wouldn't want to look like that?

very wobbly...

everyone keeps saying jil sander...
why?
cause it's grey?...
that is really oversimplifying it imo...

jil was never this intricate, with all the folding and pleating...
...and never had such tight tailored dresses...
it's more exhuberant than jil ever was...
