I just don't feel Chanel is worth the hype anymore. They aren't setting trends so much as jumping on bandwagons. Their grandiose sets have been the most exciting parts of their collections the past few seasons.
Yeah, just looked at it all on nowfashion and I really can't say I like it
the cuts are terrible, I don't like many of the fabrications which is weird cause usually Chanel is always on my top list of favorite fabric innovators. There are a lot of awkward layers and I can't stand the makeup, it makes a lot of the models look really old

Sadly I'm dissapointed again. I really don't understand this after the wonderful couture collection (except for the model's hair).
I feel like Chanel has changed over the past few years. I almost find each collection a little worse than the previous one. I used to still like pre fall (the métiers d'art collection), but that changed with Paris-Bombay.
In particular I don't like the big cuts, the bland colors of the tweed and the sport elements.
I hope Valentino will still look the same, I love how they've been so consistent and repetitive. I like to know that I can exspect nice fitted cuts, beatiful lace patterns, dresses with silk and lace, some more 'rocky' items, ...
If you pass on some frumpiness and ugly details (the heart sweater...), there are some really good stuff! I feel like he tried to modernize the silhouettes a bit and I really like the more "minimal" approach of looks #1/9/12/13/14/15. I also like how he cut the pants, and the shoes seem quite good.
ETA: Oh dear, that second part is not good
