the way i understood his sketches from the documentaries, he sketches the whole look, not just the clothes. so i'd style, he styled it on paper already.

An invitation to the atelier chez Chanel. A romantic collection with a spirit of rock. Lagerfeld’s creations are dedicated to all beautiful, confident and proud women who do not renounce that touch of romanticism and elegance. This collection rediscovers the great classics of the Chanel maison and makes them contemporary. The tweed tailleur is brightened with small colored crystals and is worn with sequined or denim leggings. The robe manteau in pastel pink becomes precious thanks to small Swarovski crystals. Precious fabrics, precious embroidery and precious small ruffles that become “waves” of chiffon on organza. Applications of sequins, Swarovski crystals or lame fabrics used for tunic dresses or other longuette ones with décor and layers of floaty taffeta are not missing

white, black, but also all pastel colors brightened by silver and aluminum metallic touches or by small iridescent crystals

After prefall, my standards were pretty high. Karl is the king of color-coordination, but I'm not loving this. The colors are great, and Karl really knows how to work with textures, but I can't stand the pants or the shoes, and the only things i'm really loving are the jackets. This doesn't look very HC to me at all.

I also hate the makeup- for the most part the girls just look haggard. I think bright, clean, youthful faces would have helped elevate the whole feel of the collection.
