I love this so much more than the last few years of Chanel couture! This is very Coco with the colour palette and the fabrics and the silhouettes. The pieces are beautiful and exquisite whilst being 'wearable' - not what everyone would want from a couture show but I adore it.

At least it's much better than the resort collection but not so couture to me.

I have a couple of issues.

1: WHY 65 Looks! There is ALWAYS so much Rubbish in a Chanel Collection. Karl could have HALVED that amount and it would have been so much better.
There are about 6 sets of looks that look almost Identical. Leave them out.

This leads me onto my next point.

2: There is NO refinement. If he just edited well it would be amazing.

3: Those tights...Slightly Recycled from Spring 2010 Couture...

4: The Makeup is AWFUL. Its just so goddam matronly.

5: Some of the Proportions seem very off! Julia Nobis's first look is terrible.

I think Karl is slowly looking it. this is not a BAD collection, however his 2006/7 Shows were OUTSTANDING compared to this. Its just Mundane.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I think this collection is very different from Karl's more recent ones, it's a lot subtler and more low-key. He's finally ventured outside of some of his most commonly used silhouettes! They were lovely but it was getting a bit tiring seeing them season after season.

Of all people, I never thought that Karl would save my couture week! This is amazing, I haven't been wowed by a Karl collection in god knows how long, but this is simply lovely. Love the details on the gowns.

I think that's the typical reasonable Karl , that's what you always get when he isn't going crazy in designing , I LOVE it

Those shoes looked garish from the front but when viewed from the side they're not too bad. They could have been cut lower around the toes.

Get rid of the ugly sparkly tights and this is a solid collection. Though I have to wonder if Karl is still capable of producing a collection that isn't either safe (like this one) or insane (resort).

Also, kudos on the pants. The ones in this collection are much more desirable than usual and they look lovely paired with those soft blouses.
