wow! I can always count on Mr. Lagerfeld to blow my mind away with painstakingly delicate, and poetic collection during the couture week.
I love the headpieces! It's done by the same hair designer who did Chanel's Paris-Moscou collection.
When I heard that the inspiration was paper, I imagined something along the lines of origami detailings but Mr.Lagerfeld rarely does anything so literal which is great and delightfully surprising!

love the collection spcially th hair accesories... i think one of the reasons why he chose not to do the show in le grand palais is to "save money". the extravangt massive shows he used to do thre are really expensive for the time being.... however, i'm glad he wasnt influenced by the crisis to create the collection.

How gorgeous so far!
I really like the collection-- at least for presentation because I haven't had the best look at all of the pieces yet (but the rose headpiece, the PANTS <3 are so wonderful and cute and hot <3). I really like the way he presented this-- he can safely take an idea within his mind and transform it into a show and he makes it absoultely magnificent and opulent each time. This collection is so clean and beautiful-- I'll wait for HQ's before I really fully enjoy the clothes but they are so *so* pretty.

Tonight I dropped in to see Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, and just as I entered the studio (through the famous door marked Mademoiselle), the assistants burst into applause. The bride in the show, Freja Beha Erichson, had just stepped out in her pants ensemble, with a white paper headdress and a train that swept across half the studio floor. As she faced Lagerfeld and the Wertheimer brothers, a dozen assistants stood at the far edge of her train. All the attention was on the work.Lagerfeld has conceived a collection based on his favorite thing—paper. (Though I thought it funny that he had a Kindle, the wireless reader, on his desk. It was a gift.) As you might expect, everything in the collection is white, or black and white. The silhouette is as modern as can be—short and trim—with a sharpness to the lines that evokes cut paper. The Tokyo hairdresser Katsuya Kamo, who works on Junya Watanabe’s shows and is an enormous talent, has created all the flowers, hair ornaments and little caps—from paper. I went to the hair and makeup room across the hall from the studio. In one spot was a litter of white scraps.
Cathy Horyn (On the Runway)

I think this show was much better than the last one.
