it's quite beautiful, but I don't like the colors... .especially that pinky sporty look... and imo it looks very vintage

And what difference in taste does it make cause im a guy? if I was to be straight, I'd love my women to dress like this. This is all a matter of taste, not really sexuality.

I also do not understand your statement "I don't know how many ladies who can actually afford Chloe that will like this."

so if I can't afford it, i'll like it? please enlighten

I'd honestly like to know what everyone was expecting? This is a new designer so it is obviously going to be much different from the works of Phoebe or Yvan (at it's best!) - even Stella M. Personally, Chloe has never done it for me but as far back as I can remember, Chloe has never had an 'image' or heritage which gave it distinction. Under each designer it takes on a completely new form. It's weird and utterly uninspiring.

The only outfit I like is the first one. It was very promising, but I'm little bit disappointed with the rest

Chloe. You are dead to me. Goodnight sweet prints.

As much as the brand changed over the years I still feel as though from the time of Stella to the time of Yvan there was an overarching feeling that ran through the house even if the creative direction changed. Chloe consistently made clothing that girls wanted to have. Really great, cool, girly and fresh daywear that justified the price. There was always something that you just had to have be it the shoes, the bags, the dresses or the coats, especially during the Phoebe and Yvan eras wherein Chloe was practically a fail-safe destination for young women with a desire to wear something fashionable.

I have yet to see anything that fills me with that sentiment under Paulo Melim Andersson and I feel as though that shouldn't be the case since I'm a big fan of Marni and he came from Marni but so far everything I've seen from him has been resoundingly unappealing. Hammer pants, potato sack dresses, those demonic horse feed bags from F/W, its like one hideous item after another and I want to like his work but

That said I will focus on the positives of this collection. The pink patent coat looks very interesting as do the colors, this is a fresh palate and the yellows, greens and pinks are almost edible. The bathing suit is also quite cute.

Hmmm, couldn't the same thing be said about other houses who churn out 'it' items season after season? Balenciaga? Marc Jacobs? And more recently, YSL and Lanvin? That, imo, isn't a heritage or 'distinction'. There isn't any timelessness to it as next season there will be ANOTHER batch of must-have items. It's consumerism. Though I digress.....

Interesting. I don't feel that Chloe's sole distinction was churning out it things I believe that the fact that their clothes were so popular was a testament to the fact that the clothes all had a certain feel that people responded to. I do think that there was in some respects a Chloe girl. Especially from the time of Pheobe onward. I always had in my head a picture of the sort of woman who wears Chloe. Not sure if that is a timeless thing or not but I don't think its solely consumerism either.

My primary complaint with Paulo's collections is that not only do they not feel like Chloe, they don't appeal to me on an aesthetic level either. I wouldn't mind if someone went in and did a complete overhaul. Sometimes a brand needs that and it works. I just don't feel a connection to what he's doing nor do I find it visually stimulating.

I have a quite clear image of who the Chloe customer used to be like... I used to be one of them, and so many in my circles. This is way too 'young and trying to be cool, imo... the customers who actually can afford those clothes will get confused and go somewhere else.

I feel a gap in the market a gap for where Chloe used to be, its sad. I did not mean to offend you.

I dont really like it except for the purple coat. I also like the rainbow print on the 1st and 4th but not so much the skirt and dress they're on.

When i see the first looks i was "omg what a disaster"... but I think this is because of the styling (that is a real disaster)...
some of the pieces are really good and I really like the baggy pants, it's so funny and fresh... (except the golden one... too much for me)...
I like the "Child Art" dress...
like this one

I like this jacket too

the first and fourth look are too "Clements Ribeiro Cacharel" for me... and we are not at Cacharel...

my "coup de coeur" are those

and the "Child Art" dress...
vogue.fr

I think a lot of people are disappointed because they don't feel the Phoebe Philo touch... but hey she's gone...
Philo did sthg very different from Stella McCartney - and I was surprised when she took the brand... but I liked what she did, Philo pushed Chloé up to the sky... economic sky, even...
I think it's a different state of mind with this guy...
sorry I don't remember his name...

It's not bad. I don't like most of the prints, but I'm not a print person. The gold pants, white floral minidress, and the pink patent jacket are wonderful, though.
