It's like having a cookie recipe and changing the ingredients (such as choclate chips, orange, or lime) according to the season. And honestly, I do not see how this collection looks cheap at all.

Hope this makes sense-haha
I'm with Spike here.

If he manages to make them new, of course that makes him a genius. The problem is it looks like the same old, same old, and he's getting further and further away from the new directions taken by fashion. Dior is looking terribly dated. Why not just buy vintage Dior if that's what we want? Look at Lanvin, Balenciaga or YSL. The designers who inherited the house really pushed the designs FORWARD while keeping to the DNA of the brands. Dior under Galliano is getting irritating in its formulaic approach, the same rich men's "mistress"/vintage Pigalle look that no self-respecting modern gal will wear.

I'm looking at the Marc Bohan archives and goodness, he was MORE Dior than Galliano, and that's what, 3 decades ago??

Imo, YSL and then Bohan were the right match for Dior. Galliano is talented but not talented enough to bring Dior up to scratch.
