panties and nylon's without skirts or trousers?Just no! ^^Hahah, i love that handbag though, the close up is to much.

I do like the evening dresses though, as always they are dreamy and stunning.

people will fight with me ...
but i don't care ...

i've been so brain-burnt by all his collections that first the Dior New Look doesn't even bother me there ...

What gets me excited is the ironic read John is making about recession ... adds to his passion for sex !
This is the BEST collection he's done in years ...

and i know one woman who was like hyperventilating on front row ... Carine Roitfeld ! I'm sure she fainted when she saw that !
That's gonna be a HUGE HIT in VP September ! At least, I hope !

oh and the hats = i faint ! i want one !
stephen jones ?

Not really, I kind of agree with you.

Still do not see the couture edge of some of those pieces but I love underwear clothing. This should be a lesson to Dolce: their stuff usually look cheap, but these do look very lux.

My complaint is the repetition of ideas: this is his resort show with lighter and more luxurious fabrics sans the skirts. That is it. The same thing over and over again. Yes it is glamorous, but does that cut it anymore? I doubt it.

I am not against the embroidery. I am not against excess. I am not against his retro vision. I am just against seeing the same things again and again; however masterfully they may have been constructed. He just seems so 'not inspired' lately.

And I am sick of his nude/black lace pieces. ENOUGH ALREADY!! Yes they are stunning beyond words, but I started to think that the only reason why he is doing those continuously for the past 4 years is because they are like some sort of a best-seller or something... because it is so lazy for him at this point to drape some precious black lace and tulle over a beige/nude base.

Been there, done that, in so many ways...

I am kinda torn. I wish there was a more solid theme than just lingerie. The jackets without pants is a cool look, but in the end the jackets are the same old that he always does and the pantslessness is just a styling trick. It doesn't live up to what I expect from Dior couture.

However, I love the final looks. The lingerie tops with the beautiful origami bottoms. The gowns make up for the earlier looks.

oh god what is this?
i mean i dont hate it (like, let's say spring 2008 couture) but it's always.. the same stuff. the cuts of the jackets, some of the jacket+skirt outfits, the gowns, everything seems like we pretty much seen it before

on the other hand i LOVE the shoes.

^ I mean it is more clever editorial styling what seduces here, rather than a solid collection of well-cut and cohesive clothes, that is for sure.

Ok, I came in here with absolutely NO expectations because I decided that is the only way I might be impressed. I have to say that I love the fact that at least the suggestion of sex is back again. There was this influx of sex a year ago at couture (you know, back when we still mostly appreciated the New Look redo) but this time it's more obvious. And dare I say that some of this bare the same feeling as S/S 03 Galliano rtw

I like the dresses actually, by the way. And here comes the slogan of Dior from the past 3 years: PICK A COLOR!!!
