This is a terrible collection. It looked like clowns were walking down the runway in their "formal" clown clothes. Didn't help that some of them were dressed in clown accessories either. There doesn't seem to be any kind of theme here other than messy masses of fabric mixed together in bad colour combinations. Not too good.

So, after seeing the collection on my style.com app on my phone ... my VERY first thought was:
This looks like if it was designed for the débutantes at the Bal del Crillon

Its just, a smorgarsbord of so many things, and then the taste level comes into place: It looks SO young, with all the hair and make up to "age" the models, to me most of the pieces/styling looks extremely young. I mean, I do know there's a changing in the guard in regards to couture clients, but how many 20 somethings (though for me, this looks like more 14 year olds would love) can afford this?

Then, there is the concept issue: the collection is all over the place, the previous designer (whose name shudn't even have to mentioned in this thread because this collection wasnt touched by him) did had a clear "image" or starting inspiration point for the collections, and this one, is ... unfocused. Too many things and references at once. If they'd stuck to two themes and developed them it would have been awesome. Well, not awesome, but under the radar and wudnt look as shocking after the departure of whats-his-name.

Now, for the positive, is it me or do I think this could be big in Asia? ... the colours and everything reminded me of the young japanese customers (and why not? China).

So I guess we will have to wait for the cash registers to close and see how this did because .. at this moment, I just want to get more popcorn and see how this develops (ideally, I wish Id see a label as giant as this crash and burn, but I dont think it'll happen)

It's clear Dior needs a leader to help make some sense of this mess. This is ugly.

I have to agree with negative comments. This collection is lacking of inspiration, I don't like these grotesque makeup and the styling.

What else is there to say about this collection after 16 pages? It's a terrible, terrible showing, worse than even the kitschiest of Galliano's collections from the last few years (and there were some kitschy collections in that time). Cathy Horyn was dead on when she compared a runway, or this runway at least, to a shrink's chair. There was absolutely no filter involved in the creation of this collection. Stuff came out and it can't be taken back.

The black layered gown on Constance near the end. That's tinsel!! Either that or it's cassette film. I'm not sure which is worse. Ugh...

It's almost like a mockery of Galliano's collections. Like some child has been given little sweet wrappers and told to make a collection that looks like a Galliano for Dior collection.
