Horrible, horrible collection!
Galliano was making boring collections
but his pieces always get his master hand
and the exquisite finishes and his good taste to mix diferent prints,
colors fabrics always were something nice to see,
and not to tell about detauils they were exquisite and dreamful.
But what Bill Gayten has did is really horrible,
did you see the way he mixed that fabrics?
they are BAD DONE simply and the styling as ugly
like the last Dior Pret a Porter show.
Bill Gaytten could have worked with Galliano 23 or 100 years
but talent and genious are not contagious.
Bill Gaytten has a horrible taste and has make terrible designs,
and not to tell about how he has made a lot of colorful trash with the
house techniques.
A new era has started. How Sydney will feel about that?
maybe he is so pride about it.
I am happy for Galliano, he can open all the fashion doors
he want to open...
because his soul, his taste and his spirit are untouchable
and he has prove it with the exquisite Moss weedding dress...
after all, last Dior collections has proven that Dior without Galliano
will be a label full of expensive trash...
Ok, this is horrible. Squizree's post about the messy mess of this collection just hit it on the nail.
I don't want Galliano back, I think he's been rightly punished for what he did, but Dior does need a new true designer! And the sooner they find one, the better.

I remember last season watching the Dior hc show thinking "more of the same!", and it was, but at least we got more of the same pretty, yes rather stiff..., but pretty detailed, beautifully cut, well finished, extremely glamorous, expensive looking clothes.
But this?, this is...
First: who gives a damn about Marc Bohan??????, WHO????, you don´t usually see designers taking on inspiration from other designers besides the founder of the house, imagine Ricardo searching for inspiration looking at Julien Macdonald´s collections!= NO!!
Second: Flowers???, do they know Galliano did flowers last fall??, with notoriously less budget and created a show that was one of his most original, fresh and amazing in a long time?
This is the typical case of designers trying to fill big shoes, like Maria Grazia and Pier Paolo´s first attempt at couture, the mocked Valentino and didn´succed (although they produced a far more acceptable collection), some of this pieces don´t even look like a couture piece (thos 70´s inpired prinetd silks).
If you get rid of a designer for whatever the reason, specially when everyone knows they are dying to change directions or whatever, then CHANGE IT!, don´t make a an awful mock of what this could have been on Galliano´s hands.

The invitation was totally irrelevant to this collection.
This feels like Manish Arora :O
I don't like at all, I don' see any gowns that are worth going crazy for, this all a colorful mess. The makeup is Dior, but the dresses are not.
This show was a tragical step against the world of fashion (and haute couture) as well. Somehow I feel sorry about the atelier. Toledano & Co made a big mistake when they didn't hire anybody in time.
This collection is horrible! Even though John made a huge mistake, I think Mr. Galliano was perfect for Dior. They shouldn't have fired him. They was a huge mistake on Dior. It looks like a bunch of circus clothes and they look very cheap.
