This collection is a mess, but we should all remember Dior is still in the stage of transitioning. This was to be expected when a replacement for Galliano has yet to be announced. Let's put this in the "it never happened file" as this doesn't represent what Dior stands for.

This. Let's hope they hire a new designer before we have to witness another disaster. But you're absolutely right.
This is a mere reflection of what's going to happen to Dior without John Galliano and or atleast a great designer heir. Sydney's bad taste reflects this. Disappointing . This isn't couture, this is out of this world mockery and trash. Bold words but yeah, transition in a bad way. Hoping for a better S/S '12 Posted via Mobile Device
It is kinda inadvertently entertaining, I am finding it to be more Mahogany than Project Runway, even though the following comment was

Some of the color and pattern combinations are just , but having said that that I really liked some of the silhouettes and a few of the looks were good but in a promising new designer kinda way, which come to think of it that is akin to the situation they're in. IMO I think that they should have done the same think they did with Galliano FW 11-12 RTW and that is do a few looks really well and present the collection in a small-scale setting.
P.S.
What the is that guy wearing, that is as much of a mockery as many of the comments in this thread.
If they claim that Dior is the "Crown Jewel" of the company then Syndney wouldn't have released this collection. It's just mocking the vision of Galliano, his creativity.
Dior is Galliano, Galliano is Dior. It's now a label. Without John, I doubt I'll ever et used to it. BUT, I wouldn't want him back here in Dior. The company didn't stay beside him in time of need and bashed him endlessly. I just want him to move on on his own and laugh in the joke Dior will be in the future (if a good designer is NOT hired) Posted via Mobile Device
Oh lord, this is horrible. I can see al these different things they were going for and all these "inspirations" from different designers, Prada, Armani, Pucci, Versace and so on. I do like some the techniques They applied to some pieces but they don't feel complete plus the color scheme is hideous, they could have at least made it a bit more consistent to make the collection somehat cohesive.
