I didn't thought I'd have to say this cause I LOVED most of Galliano's work so far. But this is really bad. A complete rip-off of himself (well, at least he did some good work in the past to create a nice collection), too colourful, still too boring, too not-dramatic, I am actually VERY disappointed.
Of course, there are some nice pieces, Morgane's dress and other details, but overall... Very, very bad.

We must appreciate that most of these pieces are actually wearable and not just an art collection founded by the French government.
Right, exactly.

Yes, but it's... I dunno, I already saw it all, the make-up is too much glitter for me, the patterns are (if not already seen) not my type and the silhouettes have been in the phenomenal ss07 show already
I am just unhappy to see NOTHING new here

it's haute couture, it's supposed to be art.

^exactly, Dior at his best, I love it, his creations are never dull, and some pieces could actually be quite wearable with some modification, I love the colors and the shapes, espcially those 2 yellow pieces and the leopard gown and the fushia dress on Vlada.

Salvatore, do you mean me?

@cambry: I can't see as much art as usual in this anymore...

I really like it, but I'm dissapointed it wasn't more different from his previous collections. The pieces I loved were the ones with African inspired patterns. My fav is the long black gown with the purple and gold design; those colors are fab together!

i think most of it looks tacky, so i agree i was just responding to people praising it for wearability when the entire reason there's a distinction between RTW and haute couture is that haute couture's main purpose isn't to be worn, but to be admired.

I also agree that there is a lackluster feel here -- the same materials, the same color palette, even the headpieces are slight modifications of what he has already done. This would've been a proper time to change his vision completely, but I understand if he's still enamored with previous ideals and wanted to complete a specific outlook he had.
