Not a fan of this type of photos, I can't concentrate on clothes. But probably that's just a trick, cause clothes itself doesn't look great or something. Some of there looks remind of Gucci and YSL.

I really don't think these photos do any favours for the clothes.

^IMO they don't any favours for the models, they look like inanimate objects, mannequins on display or something.
When it comes to the clothes themselves, I love almost all the looks.

Costume National has become like the satiny version of Diesel brand clothing to me.

Could they have used worse lighting? It flattens everything out, minimizes seeing detail in the clothes, and makes the models look like evil doppelgängers. Weird!

Agreed the lighting is horrible. Why would anyone do this?

certainly there were fleeting days you saw in a boutique costume homme next to helmut lang and costume national next to martine sitbon, and those made the best corner of the sales space.
those designers might sometimes have looked like they drew their nourishment from nostradamusian melancholy in the context of the end of the century. so once they passed their spiritual climax which turned out anticlimax and they lost the landmark, some of them might not have been sure where to go and might have been deranged. then he who had come from yohji's atelier started saying he wanted to make his brand something like gucci.

it's not necessarily terrible to me,just a bit samey considering the other brands that have this very same style, but certainly not the same edgy and modern costume national that i remember that stood alongside the helmut lang's,demeulemeester's and jean colonna's. of course HL is being made a mockery right now and jean colonna is not really the same as he used to be either......very sad all-round.

when costume was at its best, it did feel like yohji meets gucci to a certain extent...
which i quite liked...
but that's because Gucci was really 'Halston' by Tom Ford

OT:
f*ck---how awesome would it be if Tom Ford designed Halston...
?!?!...

i'd actually really like to see that...
no one does Halston like Tom Ford does Halston...!!!...
:p
*tom should have thought of this himself and gotten the ball rolling somehow...

go tom...
go get halston!...

haha...i am sooooo off topic...

...
