Is Diane von Furstenberg changing her aesthetic or is she just arriving at the minimalism party as the wits are leaving?
It's foreign to me, but this season, last season and pre-fall have made me want to discover DvF. The palette for this collection is gorgeous. It of course does not have a similar volume to Consuelo Castiglioni's work, but some of the layering, the colour choices, the graphic prints and that mildly experimental but refined edge put me in mind of Marni, or maybe Dries.
Admittedly, the beginning of the collection is the best part, the prints aren't quite reeled in well enough and we start turning into Chanel Couture towards the end with the embellishment and metallics, but still, a very nice collection from a typically middle-aged country club DvF.

I think Yvan Mispelaere has been designing for her since SS11.
I agree, the palette is gorgeous.
It is such a fresh change after that chaotic circus last season that I can't even call a collection. The color palette is gorgeous, the whole vibe of the show felt very casual and laidback which is a nice direction for the DVF brand to explore. All in all, I like!

This is a new, fresh, minimalist twist on the classic DVF look. I love it! I love the color palette, and the fact that all the pieces could be worn. DVF's clothes are truly timeless, 19 year old can wear them and a 90 year old can wear them.
I really like some of the last outfits. First few are a bit meh, but it's a good collection overall. The hair & makeup is spot on with the clothes and it's super chic, which I love.
