I don't mean to be a jerk, but could people at least make an effort to find what they're looking for before adding on to this unnecessarily long thread? Givenchy is on the previous page in the HUGE list. Nearly every designer has been covered somewhere in here. You can find what you need using the advanced search function correctly.

and I don't get it, Balenciaga is actually pretty easy to pronounce. Balencia sounds a lot like Valencia, so just go Balenci (say it as you say Valencia), then a (like the "a" in Maria), then ga.

Issey Miyake
Miyake is pronounced Me-Yah-K. i hate it when sales assiocates go Me-Yak, or Me-Ya-Keyy. it makes my native language sound horrible. same when I order sake and they go "so you want Sha-Key?"

And you were being a jerk about finding the thread of all the designer pronunciation. Some people don't have time to go through the whole thread to find all that info.

Lamalone, AlexN was not being a jerk but merely helping you follow the tfs guidelines. This thread is becoming redundant because it is clogged up with the same posts over and over again. It takes the same amount of time to do an advanced search as it does to type your original post. The more posts there are, the more bandwith that is eaten up and the more it costs us to run this site. Please be respectful of that

As far as I know French, you don't pronounce "s" when it stands as the last letter in the word. And the accent should fall on the last "e". Correct me French native speakers if I'm wrong with this one, but i suggest: air-ME'

That was what I thought, and what I still say, but I always feel like an idiot when everyone else is adding the 'z' at the end and I'm the only one pronouncing it like that.
