I was looking at shows circa 2001-2003 and came across this.. which seems suitable for the area as today marked the 10 year of this collection, I'm not a huge fan of Donna Karan, hit or miss for me, but this collection remains my favorite from her , I still remember seeing it while procrastinating at school .. I love the elegance and the dark palette with all those deep blues and purples, the 20s silhouettes, and it's amazing how modern it still is.. she definitely knows how to deliver timeless pieces.

Figured this could be a memory lane kind of commercial in the middle of fashion week.

Ah, thanks for posting this This has always been one of my favorite Donna Karan collections, too. For some reason my favorite designer outlet store has lots of pieces from this collection (mainly the tops and dresses with the satin/velvet patchwork) and I keep trying them on again because they're so beautiful.
I don't think I've ever seen the full collection in such good quality before. My favorite look was always the one on Erin Wasson in post #4 (grey turtleneck and pants) though I'm noticing lots of dresses and coats now that I like more than that one.

This was such a beautiful collection from her. I've always had a soft spot for Donna Karan's skill at dressing women, and this is a great example of what she does so well. Everything about it just looks so glamorous, so sensual and sophisticated, and yet utterly, utterly effortless. From the mannish pants to the paneled evening dresses it all looks so easy to wear.

I totally agree with you. She's always known how to dress a woman and respect a woman's body.
