you wrote s/s 94 was the first women's show..
but at the top of the page, there is s/s 93. does that mean he started with men's wear?
thanks for sharing these pictures, runner
i have been really curious as to what his work was like when he had just started..only getting a few glimpses here and there. i thought it would have this kind of ethnic style. anyway, beautiful colours and interesting it's all full of flowers or flower-like designs, just like how it is right now.. he really loves those
gius, it seems that when he started producing his own very small collection in the mid 80's it included both mens and womens wear.
and then his first catwalk show was S/S 92 which was held during paris mens fashion week.
so it was mainly mens collection but with some womens looks here and there, like helmut lang. it was like that until S/S 94.
this is part of what S/S 92 was like.
Quote:
several journalists note the large number of barefoot models in the second half of the show. however, this is not a styling decision but the result of one of the dressers getting into a blind panic and mixing up the shoes, and vainly trying to fit models with the wrong sizes. to keep the show moving, patrick is obliged to send them out barefoot. happily, this fits perfectly with the loose, summery feel of the collection. afterwards a flustered student is found standing by a pile of unused shoes.
