india for the 'knotted' dresses and skirts... sportswear in the fabrics thanks for posting these la bordelique ![]() i saw in an interview they mentioned creating their own sequins for the first time i wonder how they did that ![]() i have no idea what sequins are made of anyhow, esp the flat circle ones |

gius, I would like to know about the sequins too....keep us posted if you find anything out. ![]() skot, I believe much of the inspiration for the palette came from some Schiele drawings that Dries had been looking at. Certainly the strong golden yellow is very Viennese, no? {huffart.com}

aha! thank you laika and gius.
the Schiele drawings are beautiful, I can see a clear link with the palette! I find it incredibly appealing, especially with the dark greys and inky blues Dries has also used. laika, just discovered the wealth of knowledge regarding Dries, Schiele and art references in the SZ accompanying thread. Very interesting. It takes incredible talent to be able to meld such diverse points of stimuli and inspiration into a cohesive and beautiful collection, such as this. I'm impressed. |
