oh i seriously dont see Dries as 'Prad-ish' quite vice versa in my book anyway..

i see both Marni and Prada looking up to Dries for inspiration..

It s really surprising that now when the ethic trends emerges from the like of Balenciaga, Dries is moving toward the "uglier", slightly industrial look. He did soften it a bit tho.

Lena, that's my favorite too. Thanks for the detail.

I disagree with Caffeine that this is "a typical Dries collection"....what nqth said is so true.
There is definitely something drab and industrial about this. The luxurious details and fabrics are still here, but they look somehow less opulent, less obviously expensive. For me, that makes these clothes much easier to wear and much more desirable.
Also love the subtle layering in the styling....especially with the knits.

Can't edit--wanted to add: You can almost feel where the clothes came from (as in Antwerp)

I'm on the fence. I could see myself wearing some of this but then alot of it seems very hard to pull off without looking a bit frumpy. But Dries usually gets the concept that we aren't all built like lithe models so maybe they look great on. The color palette is my favorite of all and the patterns are fluid on the silks and wools. love that. The shoes are chloe gone bad, orthopedic and dodgy.

I would like to see these on.

Shoes and boots

I love the new Dries .This winter only bought Yojhi and unfortunaely 2 pairs of Marc Jacobs pants that I hate now. However hope Dries changes the shoes so they are winter city wearable. They to me are way too high and the connected heal is an accident waiting to happen. Anyone remember Naomi?

I love the colors and I like most of the prints and details, but I'm not amazed. And I hate some of the skirts, that quilted fabric and the shoes. It's an ok collection for me, but he's done much better.

I agree with luckyme. I've always found something a bit frumpy about Dries' bag lady styling and oversized shapes. There are some really beautiful pieces to be culled from this collection, though. I find the accessories fascinating.

It's a spot on, laika, that the drab and industrial made the clothes more wearable. I didn't notice that. I am not a girl:-P

The last printed dress in #83 is beautiful (and so Comme:-P)

I'm already obsessed with the "ugly orthopedic shoes" . It's not fair I have to wait until FALL!
