Very nice. I like it as a collection so far though will buy very little of it. Although I'm loving that pattern knit tie! That's pretty fresh.

Fan-tas-tic prints. Absolutely brilliant. The clothes themselfs are not bad too, au contraire. Realy some of the best I have seen for both Paris and Milan.
Plus, that's the third man-skirt I've seen this season, is that gonna be a trend?

Wow, the sweaters are gorgeous. I like all the jacquard and brocade suits, they're soo unexpectedly chic.

I love this one in particular (love the colors)

hmm a bit dissapointed.. mainly from the jaquard/tapestry inspired jackets/trousers..

the matador section with the black&white, black&blue borelo inspired jackets, the fantastic ties , the flag skirts and the very first look of the embroidered bomber & half printed shorts (but not styled together, looks too strong)

thanks for the pics and the topic ngth

You are all most welcome:-)

There is v. v. nice black section, with silver embroidery. Is is "new" at Dries Van Noten, I think black is never his colour. White trenches are nice, too. He also showed caleçon again:-)

The embroidery must has been started by McQueen:-)

Most of my van Noten pieces are black .

It's hit or miss in my book. Some pieces are just amazing... to look at. I'm sure there will be enough beautiful toned down pieces from this collection in stores though.

Oh, Johnny, that hurts! I do think it's very shy of Cavalli, the color paulette is much more subdued. But I guess I see your point if you are referring to the suit patterns.

Nqth, for sure, that's my color I got a few pieces from one of his darker collections (maybe the only dark collection), the one where he did some dragon prints. I think it was S/S01, but I'm not sure.

I like the skirts as well. The embroidery I don't personally like for myself but would enjoy seeing on other people. The collection was very classic Dries to me.
