I feel like he was definitely influenced by Raf's collections at Dior. The dresses over pants, the hint of 50's in some of the pieces, and the more modern and less extravagant feeling. But he still kept his french sophistication staple throughout the collection, but this time it felt much more modern and appealing to more clients. Probably his best HC effort so far.

Yes, I also see the influences from Dior. Very nice collection, better than Dior.

I prefer the second, brighter part, but all in all - wonderful collection!

HEAVILY inspired from Raf at Dior but I really like it. Fabrics are a bit all over the place but a strong showing from him.

Oh my goodness...what a heavenly HC collection. I just want to wear almost all of these outfits, they look exquisitely made. I am hoping that at least one celebrity get's to wear a piece from this collection to the Oscars, there are some that would be stunning on a red carpet event like this. I think I prefer the second half of the collection better because if Valli could get over his fondness for animal prints it would be wonderful. I've never been crazy about such prints on gowns often they seem a bit cheep to me. But it's a personal preference really. Otherwise I totally love the cuts, designs, and fabrics of the collection, it's really something.

I totally agree, while i loved Dior, i would wear all the pieces from this collection, and his dress over pants ensemble was better than raf's, the floral dresses and the shapes divine

I adored this collection! Those abstract animal prints weren't tacky in the least bit. I think his clothes are elegant, easy to wear, and definitely approachable by couture clients. His stuff is absolutely wonderful.

I don't understand how could you compare Valli to Raf Simons at Dior. Simons at Dior is boring, repetitive, ugly and lame. Valli is just wonderful.

Excuse me but how can you say that "pants over a dress" is a Raf Simons inspiration? He's been doing it for ages. You should be more careful before just popping out comments. Divine collection.
