I actually think is quite amazing tho at times a bit too shiny. But I shall not complain because some of the shapes are amazing and the play on fabrics showed lots of work put into it. And the sequin work on this jacket is fabulous.

Iconic > Pretty

this isn't my favorite armani prive collection (as the fall/winter collection probably ranks in that place for me), but i'm enjoying the new confidence bursting fourth at the house of giorgio armani. he has definitely turned a new leaf and it's so apparent not only in the designs for his house, but the bold strides the company has made in all of their endeavors. love him or hate him, this collection -- like so many of his others -- shows that it's not just a boring procession of beige.

everything is never quite enough.

I really enjoy this alot.
it reminds me of a video game, and
really takes your mind different places depending
on how you look at it. I would love to feel that fabric and see
what it is made out of. I would love some pants made out of it

i'm not too sure how i feel about this. i really love the two sequin jackets but other than that i'm sort of struggling to find anything else. i think the colours used where gorgeous but i am not loving that material. i couldn't imagine how it would feel to wear...

It is growing on me a bit, but it does not look like what I think of as an Armani collection...

When I saw the first pics and the backdrop .. BEJEWELED came to mind (yes, the videogame). This collection certainly draws inspiration from jewels (as noted on because of the infusion of colors and materials and to be honest....

Im very very very impressed. This collection looks NOTHING like the stuff Mr Armani has done before. I mean, can you see this to be the same designer who did THIS:

...impossible. It seems the label is moving on, and I like, no, LOVE the direction is taking. Phillip Treacy hats? YES! Models who look straight out of Studio 54 ? YES! All this show needed was Grace Jones performing!!!

Which, by the way, makes me wonder why the shift on the direction? I mean, we still see the jackets, and the pants, and things that are very very Armani but done in new fabrics and new colours. Is is because Mr Armani is grooming a new designer to follow him (was it his nephew or something?) And am I correct and didnt he had a deal to dress Gaga (which sounds more likely and plausible).

Regardless, this collection truly deserves a standing ovation. ALWAYS glad to see a pleasant surprise like this on the HC season (when everything REEKS of blandness and we all just gather to b*tch on how great was it 20 seasons ago)

Lady Gaga would be very happy with this collection, seem like she could wear every pieces on the runway.

Wow. Was Armani visited by McQueen in a dream.
This is so out of the box I'm dying.
I can't wait to see this collection in mags and on the red carpet.

ROBBER - Get down on the ground. Face down. C'mon. CHER - Oh, no. You don't understand, this is an AlaÔa.
ROBBER - An a-what-a?
CHER - It's like a totally important designer.

Magnificent collection!

If any guts remain to red carpet publicists and stylists, I see a fierce behind-the-scenes competition for those gowns.
