I don't see much Lanvin in this tbh (and am so sick of those kind of comments really, like they have invented something just for their own use ).
I was hoping for a clean but not boring collection by him, mostly done in monocromatic colours, so I'm satisfied and more. I had enough of his black panthers, dark princesses and forced rebels.

This is like an edgier version of Lanvin. Put the collection in a different setting and it could really pass as a Lanvin collection. Not just the ruffles, but accessories and the gathered black pieces are all very reminiscent of what Alber has done before.
I actually really like this collection, but I think for the wrong reasons. I think it's the Lanvin feeling and Gucci feeling that I like about it.
Wow, really mixed reviews on this collection already. The two words that come to mind after seeing it are boring and refreshing. Riccardo has done so many seasons with these clothes that are gorgeous, but unwearable. This collection is nice, there are pieces the everyday woman can wear to work and celebrities/models will still be able to rock on the red carpet and at events. I don't really get the Lanvin vibe everyone else is getting, Alber didn't create ruffles. Many designers have done it before him and many will continue to do it after him. I can't wait to see someone like Rooney Mara or Cate Blanchett in this collection!
Most of this collections is just fantastic. It is similar to other collections but I like this more than last season. I get a new-Valentino vibe from some pieces which is not good.

I thought it has lost it's severity and gone for a way softer look, mood is also brighter which is not what I am looking for in Givenchy. I miss the darkness and edge.
There's nothing particularly noteworthy about this collection, but I do have to say that those shoes don't do any favors for women's feet. I can't imagine that there's a woman out there who would want to wear shoes that make her toes look crooked and demented.
