Not hating it..... I just expect so much more. I agree it is a boys line seems like. Gucci has always been about sophistication.

Minus the print on the suits and some of the pants, which totally dizzy me, (I think I need a barf bag now.) I like this collection. It feels rather all over the place, though. It starts with golf, but suddenly shifts to, err...I don't know.
I've felt the same way for Frida's men's collections for the past 3 seasons now: Very department store. She throws in a lot of concepts, styling, and colors each runway show that you'll most likely find one that will interest you—just because there's a lot of them to choose from. I think that's my problem with Gucci post-TF. There doesn't seem to be a cohesive thought at what they present nowadays. JMHO. Last edited by steeltoe : 25-06-2007 at 11:25 PM. |

Alright, I know this collection does not represent the house very well. BUT....I LOVE THIS COLLECTION!
(Minus the gucci version of the rocawear streetwear)

this is just horrendous.
i absolutely hate it. for the leather jackets, she is not doing a better job than ann dem, for the prints, a far cry from marni for the boy-look, nothing compared to alber, raf or slimane. it is just disastrous. and ironically, the accessories; belts, bags and shoes are now looking worse than before. i cant help feeling that she is trying to juggle both and failed in both. |
