This is the most complete collection I've seen in Paris so far, I like every single piece. Flawless.

I really love this. He's jelled his look. The combination of air layers and tough, practical underpinnings is a winning combination.
I also admire his color sense, also not much of it is on display here. It does seem like Demeulemeester-smooth or Owens-lite...

![]() ![]() heheh about the collection: As much as I like it, those pants aren't good enough to use them for every outfit. KvA can learn from Haider regarding drapery, Haider could learn something from KvA about tailoring. I love this collection, it's very easy and pleasant to look at. Yet, not enough sharpness and edge to keep my attention. And I think that Haider's multicultural background sets him apart from Ann and Rick. Normally it reflects in his choice of colours. I just can't help coming back to oggle....
It's so gorgeous! I want to add that it reminds me of Tisci as well, without Tisci's gothic frills, especially those ostrich feather jackets. *drool*... |

that's what i was thinking too telepathic....there's always those elements of his colombian and algerian past....even in the layered stylings of everything. so yeah he does set himself apart...especially in looking closely. i also think demeulemeester is still rather romantic rocker and with haider its about that contrast of the ethnicity and certain elegance he finds in his icons like francoise hardy and charlotte rampling.

I totally see a lot of Demuelemeester in this, not that it's an issue. Haider has enough of a signature look I suppose. It's not surprising that Haider uses Anne's factories...
Not wowed by this collection but I couldn't name a single flaw either. I guess I only wish there was a bit more diversity, it feels like variations on the same look and not in a cool Junya Watanabe conceptual way. |
